Overview

Reliable roads and drainage determine whether markets open, ambulances arrive and children reach school in the rainy season. This portfolio covers arterial roads, feeder roads, culverts and storm-water channels across Juba's payams.

Key challenges

  • Large sections of the feeder network are unpaved and impassable in the rainy season
  • Storm-water drainage is incomplete in several densely settled areas
  • Maintenance funding is not yet ring-fenced across the full network
