Welcome to the Rajaf Civic & Faith Foundation. Spearheaded as a personal initiative by the Founder & Patron, Rajaf Civic & Faith Foundation, this project unites public leadership, the church and community members to solve a long-standing challenge in his home payam of Rajaf.

About the initiative

The Mayor's vision for Rajaf Payam

As a proud son of Rajaf, Mayor Christopher Sarafino initiated this foundation to address critical infrastructure gaps that seasonal rains exacerbate every year. This foundation is a targeted, transparent community initiative.

Project scope & requirements

Two connected workstreams

A road that survives the rains, and a church that is safe and dignified to gather in.

1. Road infrastructure project

Scope
Excavation, grading, drainage channel construction and all-weather paving for the primary access road leading directly to the church grounds.
Primary need
Earthmoving heavy machinery, gravel, culverts and a steady supply of diesel fuel to power operations.

2. Church renovation & upgrade

Scope
Structural expansion, roof overhaul, modern sanitation, solar power integration and clean water supply.
Primary need
Cement, reinforcement steel, roofing materials, solar panels and water storage tanks.

Separation of funds

Foundation funds are held and reported separately from any public budget, with distinct accounts and distinct reporting.

Board oversight

A board of trustees drawn from community, faith and professional backgrounds approves all disbursements above a set threshold.

Independent review

Annual accounts are prepared for independent review and published in the Transparency Center.

Conflict of interest

Trustees declare interests, and any trustee connected to a supplier withdraws from the relevant decision.
